Health Camp for Skin Diseases in Remote Hilly Areas

A free health camp for skin diseases was successfully arranged by the Bangladesh Academy of Dermatology under the project “Skin Health Care for Underprivileged People of Remote Hilly Areas of Bangladesh”. The program was funded by the International League of Dermatological Societies through the Dermlink Grant 2026.

More than 200 underprivileged patients suffering from different skin diseases received free medical consultation and treatment during the camp. The patients were served by Dr. Saiful Islam Bhuiyan, Dr. Sazia Afrin, Dr. Towhida Noor, Dr. Yasmin Ara Zaman, and Dr. Mahua Majumder.

The initiative aimed to improve skin health awareness and provide proper dermatological care to people living in remote hilly areas of Bangladesh, where access to specialized healthcare is limited. The organizers expressed hope to continue such humanitarian activities in the future
