World Skin Health Day 2026: Bringing Skin Care to the Heart of Rayer Bazar Community
On the occasion of World Skin Health Day 2026, Derma Care Clinic, in collaboration with HPC Foundation, successfully organized a Free Skin Health Camp at the HPC Foundation premises in Rayer Bazar Slum, Dhaka. The event was led by renowned dermatologist Dr. Sazia Afrin, who dedicated her time and expertise to serving vulnerable and underserved community members.
Reaching Those Who Need Care Most
Access to quality dermatological care remains a challenge for many low-income families. Recognizing this need, the camp was designed to bring professional skin health services directly to the community. More than 100 patients attended the camp and received comprehensive skin health assessments, medical consultations, and personalized advice.
The initiative aimed not only to treat common skin conditions but also to increase awareness about the importance of skin hygiene, early diagnosis, and preventive skin care practices.

Free Consultation, Medicine, and Counseling
During the camp, patients received:
- Free dermatological consultations
- Skin disease screening and diagnosis
- Free medicines for eligible patients
- Personalized skin care counseling
- Education on skin hygiene and disease prevention
Dr. Sazia Afrin carefully evaluated each patient, addressing concerns ranging from fungal infections and eczema to acne, allergies, and other common skin conditions. Patients were also counseled on practical steps to maintain healthy skin, improve hygiene practices, and prevent recurring skin problems.
Empowering the Community Through Awareness
A key feature of the event was patient education. Many skin conditions can be prevented or effectively managed through proper hygiene, timely treatment, and awareness. Through individual counseling sessions, participants learned about:
- Daily skin care routines
- Safe use of skin products
- Prevention of infectious skin diseases
- Importance of seeking medical advice early
- Nutrition and hydration for healthy skin
A Shared Commitment to Health Equity
The success of this camp reflects the shared commitment of Derma Care Clinic and HPC Foundation to improving health outcomes for underserved populations. By providing free medical care and essential medicines, the initiative helped reduce barriers to healthcare access and improved the well-being of community members.
Looking Ahead
The overwhelming participation of more than 100 beneficiaries demonstrates the need for continued community-based health interventions. Derma Care Clinic and HPC Foundation remain committed to organizing future health programs that promote dignity, wellness, and equitable access to healthcare.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Sazia Afrin, all volunteers, and the community members who made this event a success.
